BJK 120th Anniversary
Besiktas Jimnastik Kulubu (BJK), also known as Besiktas JK, is a Turkish sports club based in Besiktas, Istanbul. Founded in 1903, BJK is one of the most successful clubs in Turkey, having won 23 Super Lig titles, 10 Turkish Cups, and 3 Turkish Super Cups. The club also has a strong presence in other sports, including basketball, volleyball, and handball.
In 2023, BJK celebrated two significant anniversaries: its 120th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye. To mark these occasions, the club commissioned a new brand identity that would reflect its rich history and its commitment to the future.
The goal of the project was to create a design that is both modern and timeless, and that would resonate with BJK's fans and supporters.
We believe that we achieved our goals by:
- TO EMPHASIZE THE INFINITY THAT RESULTS FROM THE COMBINATION OF TWO DATES IN THE LOGO DESIGN, EMPHASIZING BJK'S PERMANENCE IN ITS NEW ERA.
- TO REPRESENT BJK'S INNOVATION IN ITS 120TH YEAR AND ITS VISION FOR THE FUTURE WITH MY CORPORATE DESIGN, WHICH CAN BE USED IN MANY WAYS AND HAS INFINITE DERIVATIONS.
- TO CREATE A DESIGN THAT IS BOTH VISUALLY APPEALING AND REFLECTIVE OF BJK'S BRAND.
- TO CONVEY THE CLUB'S HISTORY AND TRADITION.
- TO HIGHLIGHT BJK'S COMMITMENT TO THE FUTURE.
